Manara Tarot Card - An Explanation of The Fool Card

The Fool
A frivolous young woman called Malvina is seen playing with a wooden doll called Pinocchio. She wants to appear strong and teach the doll, but for the doll it's just a game. Pinocchio is content on her lap, implicitly trusting Malvina and his curiosity is boundless - it's all new and will this lead to a game for him? Malvina was too frivolous to foresee all the consequences. She did not give this situation much thought and was also thoughtless. She may accidentally break her favourite doll. Will she be sad about that? Hardly... she can immediately replace this doll with other dolls that are happy to take the place of a broken Pinocchio.

The Emotional State of Malvina
Pinocchio does not realise that Malvina behaves like a fool. She plays her games in a fun but brutal way.
This card depicts a story, so we need to try to determine what type of character is illustrated to all that ask questions surrounding this card. The enquirer is usually in an emotional state similar to Malvina. She wants to appear more experienced and serious than she actually is. This means that her partner is manipulated in their own expectations. In the case of Pinocchio, she would rather behave carelessly, without thought, and is totally fascinated by his behaviour. If however he openly tell lies and his nose grows, it is unlikely that she will be disappointed. She will say, "I generally suspected this, and most of the time this is the case". However, this is not a concern to her and the relationship will continue for a while longer until there is some unexpected events which will put this relationship in a more realistic perspective.

The Emotional State of The Jester
A Jester does not indicate a serious and meaningful aspect. It illustrates a fun and a carefree behaviour. It can also mean an accidental meeting (e.g on holiday), an instant wave of feelings, a spontaneous attraction to a person based on a desire to make a fresh start in their life, and to have some time to experiment with every experience. It's a game, it's joyful and fun to them.

I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the Jester is not tied to anything, but that does not mean that he does not bang on the drum sometimes.
